Ingredients: 1 cup cornmeal; 1 cup all-purpose flour; 4 tablespoons sugar; 4 tablespoons baking powder; 1 teaspoon salt; 1 cup milk; 1/4 cup vegetable oil or 1/4 cup bacon grease, if desired; 1/2 finely chopped onion; 1/2 cup finely chopped jalapeno pepper; 1 cup cheddar cheese

ingredients

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
¹⁄₄ cup vegetable oil or 1/4 cup bacon grease, if desired
¹⁄₂ finely chopped onion
¹⁄₂ cup finely chopped jalapeno pepper
1 cup cheddar cheese

directions

Mix all Ingredients together in a bowl till smooth.
Pour in a greased 8x8 or 9x9 pan (square) at 425°F for 20-25 minutes.

Great flavour but we found it very dry and crumbly. I used less jalepeno but other then that made exactly as stated. Made for the Prop it Up event
