Oriental Stir Fry Vegetables With Oyster Sauce

  • Prepare the vegetables.
  • Heat the vegetable oil and the sesame oil in a wok.
  • Add the garlic and stir fry a minute Add the remaining vegetables except the bean sprouts and add the oyster sauce too.
  • Stir fry for 3-4 minutes Add the remaining ingredients including the bean sprouts but excluding the lime juice and stir to mix well for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the lime juice and check the seasonings add more if reqd.
  • Serve immediately.

  1. very nice, made for company tonight and everyone loved them. I had no green beans or bean sprouts, so used mushrooms and snow peas and the rest as in the recipe except for no red pepper, just green and a jalepeno for the chli. It had a very nice bite, I added salt and quite a lot of pepper also. I will be making it again, thanks for posting.
     
  2. This was really excellent. I did halve the recipe, and further reduced the amount of oil with good results. I also omitted the bean sprouts because I did not have any on hand. This recipe will lend itself well to any number of different veggie combinations and is very forgiving. The lime juice does a nice job of brightening all of the flavors. Thank you Fay for sharing the recipe. It is one I am sure to return to.
