This turned out fantastic. I didn't brown the pork. Instead, I put the pork in the slow cooker on high while I prepared the other ingredients. I used about a 1/2 pound more potatoes (red), omitted the marjoram (didn't have any) and decreased the salt to 1/2 tsp (figured the gravy and broth had enough salt). I also added a bay leaf. My whole family loved it. I found no need to add anything to thicken the stew before serving, probably due to the extra potatoes. Awesome!

This really turned out perfect for me. Very simple. I used boneless pork rib removed excess fat and cubed. The cut of meat was very tender. I chose red potatoes and ended up with the best textured potato I have ever gotten out of a stew. I substituted homemade Turkey Broth instead of canned chicken. Thanks for the simple basic recipe.

Neighbor gave us one pound of homegrown, packaged pork stew meat. Used this recipe and it was great! I used one packet turkey gravy mix - all I had on hand - plus added one teaspoon beef flavored Better than Bouillion - to the mix. Used 2 cups mixed veggies, 2 chopped fresh carrots, 4 medium sized potatoes and 2 cans (not one) chicken broth. I had to make adjustments because I only had 1 pound meat instead of 1 and 1/2 pounds. Easy recipe to adjust. Also, I did not add seasonings. Turned out very flavorful because of broth and Better than Bouillon.

This was pretty good. I only used onions instead of any vegetables as I wanted to serve this over rice. I didn't use any marjoram. I used only 1 pkg. of gravy. Next time I would not use any salt as the gravy mix and broth made it very salty tasting. There are endless possibilities of using different gravy mixes with this. A mushroom gravy, a pork gravy and onion soup mix would all be good. I had to thicken this before serving. By the way the smell was really good and was making me hungrier by the minute.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!!
I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch.
We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
