Nice basic recipe. Very easy to make and quite good. Added a little garlic. Also added a little water to cook the cabbage. Used cider vinegar instead of white. Plan on making this often! Thanks!!

  1. Saute onions in butter.
  2. add cut up cabbage and vinegar.
  3. cover and simmer for about 20 to 25 minutes.
  4. add just enough sugar to make it sweet and sour tasting.
  5. add apples and reheat.
