Memphis Barbecue Sauce

The secret is in the sauce. This recipe is posted on another web site and I made some minor adjustments for personal taste. Use this sauce for Memphis Style Baby Back Ribs .
Directions:

Combine all the ingredients except for oil.

Bring to a low boil, stirring often.

Using a splatter screen, reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and whisk in oil until blended.

Store in a sealed container in refrigerator.

Recipe as written was way too hot for us. The flavor beneath the heat was good. Would half the hot pepper if we try this again. I doubled the brown sugar trying to mask some of the heat.

I made this sauce every time I cooked ribs last summer. Double the recipe, this stuff is good. The only sauce good enough to put on baby backs. Make just as is no changes needed.
