ingredients
- 6 cups ketchup
- 1 1⁄2 cups packed brown sugar
- 3⁄4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 1⁄2 cups yellow mustard
- 1 -3 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional and or or to taste)
- 3 tablespoons onion powder
- 3 tablespoons garlic powder
- 3 tablespoons powdered pico de gallo (or chile powder)
- 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (optional and or or to taste)
- 3 tablespoons black pepper
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons celery salt
- 3 tablespoons liquid smoke
- 9 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄2 cup of strained and de-fatted drippings (optional) or 1/2 cup marinade, from the roasting pan* (optional)
directions
- Add all ingredients and simmer over medium low heat for 20 minutes stirring occasionally until smooth and hot.
