ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (ground turkey works just as well)
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 small green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 (28 ounce) can pork and beans (sometimes I use a bit more depending on can size)
- 1 1⁄2 cups ketchup
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper
directions
- Brown ground beef and drain.
- Add onion and bell pepper and sauté until tender.
- Add beef/onion/pepper and all other ingredients to a slow cooker.
- Mix well.
- Cook on low for 1 - 2 hours.
