Excellent - so different from our prairie 'beef pie' recipes - yet so good! I was hesitant on the bay leaves using only two small ones - other then that made as posted -was perfect for our tastes - loved the curry powder and of course the raisins and almonds!

Loved this! I saw that Bobotie is normally made with ground meat but I liked the idea of chopped beef much better and diced into about 1/2" cubes. It gave a great texture and the beef cubes tended to float to the top during cooking and gave it a nice appearance.
