Beef Merlot Crock Pot

"I changed around an old recipe of mine for beef stew to get this delicious concoction! I sauteed the onions and garlic in bacon fat and then browned the stew meat pieces in it as well. I had a 1/4 Merlot left over so I added that. YUMMY!"

  1. Great recipe. I love the flavor of the merlot. I made a couple of changes... used olive oil instead of bacon fat, and round steak in place of the stew meat. Served it over mashed potatoes, with a salad on the side. My whole family enjoyed this one.
