Glazed Carrots

ingredients
- 30 g butter
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ginger, ground
- 1⁄2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon orange rind, grated
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- to taste carrot
directions
- Cook the carrots until tender.
- Melt the butter and add the other ingredients.
- Heat, stirring until sugar has dissolved and glaze is hot. Add the drained carrots and turn them to coat. Cheers Doreen, Doreen Randal, Wanganui.

Another good carrot recipe thank you. I steamed the carrots (cutting 2 large carrots into sticks for 3 of us) but kept the rest of ingrientants the same except the sugar which for dietary reasons I cut back to 2 teaspoons and with the orange juice and even the tartiness of lemon it worked a good balance for us and fitted our dietary requirements.
