This recipe is from a friend of mine and I use it in place of teriyaki sauce or marinade asked for in any recipe. This stuff is always bottled and in my fridge for use at anytime. I use an old, cleaned out bottle of soy sauce to hold this in my fridge.

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a sauce pan and bring to boil. Simmer until it thickens.

I will start by saying I don't know what straight teriyaki sauce is supposed to taste like, so I can't verify if this is "authentic." That being said, I did really like the flavor and it was super easy to stir together when I realized that I was missing an ingredient for my dinner. Thanks for saving my chicken!
