I love hot chocolate with cinnamon schnapps. This is an adaptation of the "Favorite Hot Chocolate" recipe by Hershey's.
- Mix sugar, cocoa and salt in saucepan.
- Stir in water.
- Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils.
- Boil and stir 2 minutes.
- Stir in milk and heat, do not boil.
- Remove from heat, add vanilla.
- Pour into mugs.
- Add a shot of schnapps.
- Top off with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Yummy! Loved the taste and smell of the cinnamon shnapps added to the chocolate. I, also, cut the recipe down to 2 servings, but wished I had made the full recipe. Will have this again. Thnx for sharing your recipe, Miss Erin. Made for Comfort Cafe Snow Queen Chalet Jan 2010.
This is lovely! I cut it down to one serving and used Hershey's Special Dark cocoa and fat free milk. Also only used 1/2 oz of (hot) cinnamon schnapps because I didn't want the cocoa to be overwhelmed. Skipped the whipped cream to keep it very low fat. Thanks for posting!
This is wonderful! I just love the cinnamon schnapps in it! So good and easy to make. I halved the recipe for DH and I. Very good!
