Classic Tuna-Macaroni Salad

"I like this recipe. It is close to my mother's...which is a good thing!! I think I took the dressing part of it from a Muellers box."

• Serves: 4

ingredients

• 8 ounces elbow macaroni
• 3⁄4 cup real mayonnaise
• 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
• 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
• 1⁄2 cup chopped onion
• 1⁄2 cup chopped celery
• 1⁄4 cup chopped radish
• 1⁄4 cup chopped green pepper
• 1 small can albacore tuna (optional) or 1 small chicken (optional)
• 1⁄2 cup sweet peas

directions

1. Cook and drain pasta according to the package directions.
2. Combine mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, sugar, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
3. Chop up all the veggies.
4. Drain the can of tuna or chicken.
5. Mix all together.
6. *Note* Add the peas last and stir them gently. You don't want them mushed up.
7. Toss to coat.
8. Cover and chill to blend the flavors.
9. Enjoy.

Thanks for the recipe!! Our grocery store doesn't sell Mueller's pasta any longer and I didn't cut the recipe out of the box so I'm glad that you posted this. This is a great classic recipe that reminds me of the kind that mom used to make.
