Cappuccino Chocolate Cake

"Super easy and very tasty. I like to make this recipe using the mini angel food pans (like a muffin pan but with 6 small angel food forms per pan). They make very nice individual cakes. If you should do it this way you will, of course, have to shorten the baking time. Just keep an eye on them and they will be fine. Mine bake in about 35 mins."

  1. A absolutely delicious cake and one I will make many times over! I didn't use the honey or the Creme de Cacao however I increased the Kahlua to 2 tablespoons, I might increase the sugar amount next time only slightly, I also made the glaze which is a must-make for this cake, thanks for sharing this great cake recipe Annacia, we loved it!

  2. Reviewed for ZWT III - Family Picks. This was a really nice cake, an alternative to our usual coffee sponge variation. I omitted the alchohol but it turned out really nice. Easy to make and it has been eaten up by the 3 of us in just 2 sittings! Thanks.

  3. Absolutely wordeful muffins! I halfed the recipe, too much food during the Tour3. I had 7 muffins and I loved them. I bring some at work and everyone loved them. But I had a problem with the glaze. Next time I'll disolve the coffee granules in the cream(or milk). I didn't think of it this time and the granules are like spots in the glaze as its shown in the photos. Another great recipe from Annacia!!! Thanks.

  4. We really liked this cake. Next time I am going to try it in the mini pans. Also, I may use less cinnamon. This cake is so fast to put together! Thanks!

  5. It may seem like there are a lot of ingredients in this recipe, but the whole thing takes minutes to put together, and you get such an impressive cake at the end of it! The only change I made to the recipe was to use non-dairy ingredients and to leave out the cloves (bad cloves, we don't like!). I poured (slowly poured, it's thick) the batter into a silicon cake pan that had all sorts of interesting angles, and after about 1 hour and 15 minutes I let it cook for a tiny bit and then out it came onto my cake plate, a work of art just waiting to be embellised. I just dusted the whole thing with sugar ground with some coffee into coffee sugar. A few whipped cream rosettes on top and them some more coffee sugar. I got a lot of ooohs and aaaahs when I brought it to the table, and the whole thing was decimated in moments, you would think I live with a family of goats!
