Marinated Cucumbers

ingredients
- 6 cucumbers, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1⁄3 cup sugar
- 1⁄4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon marjoram
- 1⁄2 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1⁄2 teaspoon basil
directions
- Toss the cucumbers and onions together.
- Mix the rest of the ingredients in a jar with lid.
- Shake well.
- Pour over cucumbers.
- Cover and chill.

This was a very good recipe! My husband and I love marinateing cucumbers and onions and such, and while we usually use a ranch kind of marinade, this one was a delicious change! I would make it again! -
I love this salad. This was my first attempt at making this type of cucumber salad, and it was great. I more than doubled the amount of onion since I love onion!! I used rice wine vinegar, as there was no specific type of vinegar mentioned. Just one note--don't let this one sit, it gets yucky!

Superb cucumber salad! It's licool and light and the herbs and spices are just right. This gets better the longer it chills. I wouldn't change a thing. I'll be making this a lot this summer. Thanx for posting!

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!!
I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch.
We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
