Mom's Mccormick Stroganoff

"Mom made this all the time growing up. My step-sister recently e-mailed me asking for the recipe, thinking it had been from scratch! Of course, growing up our tastes weren't very refined and now i can tell that it's not from scratch. A few variations to the directions on the package and I still think it's delicious. My husband loves this recipe. I am not sure on the size of the egg noodles bag, but just cook up however many noodles your family needs."

  1. I think this was delicious! My only tweak next time will be less sour cream, like 1/2 to 3/4 cups instead of 1. I always use less onion and garlic in every recipe and I used fresh button mushrooms.

  2. I loved this recipe. Very quick and easy. It was very delicious, my family ate theirs with egg noodles and green beans. Something I will definitely recommend making. I used 1/2 cup of sour cream instead of a whole cup. Thanks!

I'm 23 years old, married, have a two year old son and a daughter due August 9th, 2009. My husband and I live in beautiful Kailua, HI (where we born and raised!) with our mother in law, aunt in law, and brother in law. We recently implemented a new cooking plan that I cook two nights a week, MIL cooks two nights a week, BIL cooks two nights a week, and my hubby cooks one night a week (but I think I'll end up with his nights, haha!) So I am here to find easy and quick recipes to prepare for a decent sized family! If you try any of the recipes I've actually posted, I'd love to hear your feedback, tips, and suggestions! I am a pretty novice cook and since my mother passed away when I was only 21, I have basically taught myself how to turn the stove on! Thank you! :)
