  1. This recipe came up for me in the Recipezaar Russian Roulette. I doubled the recipe to make enough to feed everyone. I left out the oyster sauce (we don't eat oysters) and just added more soy sauce and some brown sugar. Served it over some steamed rice with some cabbage salad on the side. Pretty good, we'll have it again! Thanks Charishma!

  4. Nice recipe. Did take some time to make though. I added some panko bread crumbs to give it a slight crunch. Tasted great. However, I do have an issue with the salt...the recipe asked for way too much salt, because the chicken came out pretty salty. Next time, I'll put less. I also added the onion and garlic cloves like the person below me. In all, thanks for a nice recipe.

  5. Ok. Several comments :) This had nice flavor, but I felt that there was WAY too much pepper in the chicken batter; it overwhelmed the entire recipe, really taking away from the flavor found in the sauce. The sauce was very nice, but I really felt that it needed a bit of "umpfh", so I added 1 chopped onion, and 2 garlic cloves. The instructions were a little hard to follow, because I wasnt sure how long to actually cook my chicken. I cooked the chicken til golden brown, and then did the sauce as well. However, the cooking time for me was longer than 15 minutes. We thoroughly enjoyed this, but just found that the pepper was very overwhelming. Next time I will make it with no pepper in the batter, and just added it to taste otherwise. I had this for my birthday dinner :D Thank you for an enjoyable meal chari! I will make this again to our tastes :) Maybe this will even inspire me to create my own manchurian chicken!! :D We had this with SueL's Chinese fried rice :) Thanks again!
