Too Good to Be Good for U-- Turkey Meatloaf

"I love this recipe because it is quite tasty, with a spicy kick. I have been making this meatloaf or a modified version of it for years now. Sometimes I substitute 1/2 cup of oatmeal (soaked in water)in place of the bread. I often change the types of vegetables I use in it, but the result is always the same--YUMMY!!!"

  1. I liked the flavor of this but the bread didn't break down enough. I tried to shred it up and I ended up with chunks of bread in my meatloaf. I think next time I will try the oatmeal. It will absorb better. But the flavors were nice. I had way too much sauce. Plus I only had to cook mine 1 hour.

  2. Wonderful! I used oatmeal in place of the bread and tryed with ground chicken cause thats all I had. This meatloaf is bursting with flavor. The sauce adds a nice touch. Highly recommend. I also added 1 tsp of worchestire sauce. Cant wait to try with the turkey. Thanks for posting!

  3. This was delicious. We could not even tell that it was turkey and not ground beef. I had to leave out the jalapeno and browning sauce because I did not have them but it was still very tasty and moist.

I love to cook, but generally in smaller portions. I love to cook new and exciting dishes, it is as though I seldom cook the same thing twice. I am not a daily cooker, but when I do cook, I love to go that extra mile. I am a natural, I can taste a dish once and recreate a near identical replica of it. I am a very picky eater and so I prefer to cook for others more than for myself. If I had no responsibilities I would write a book of some sort, not necessarily a cookbook.
