Sweet -N-Tangy Barbecue Sauce

"The only barbecue sauce I use, for everything from shredded pork loin or ribs to thin sliced ham sandwiches or shredded beef. Often served with chilled potato salad & fresh homemade dinner rolls to mop up the sauce (if not using the meat in a sandwich already)."

  1. This was amazing. I've only tried making one other bbq sauce before, and it was not good, so I was hesitant on making another sauce. But this turned out perfect! Had a really nice zip to it. I used Franks hot sauce. Added 2 drops of liquid smoke. I let it simmer about 2 hours or so, then took it off the heat to thicken up a bit. I will make this sauce over and over again. Thank you!

  2. Great sweet and tangy sauce. I didn't use the onion or the cayenne, but it was wonderful as made. This will be my new pulled pork sauce.

  3. Wonderful and easy. Some sauces can take a lot of time, but this was quick and easy as sauces go and taste fantastic. I found this one looking for some sauce for some pulled pork I was making. I was so proud of everything I shared my fixings with several people. They all loved it. One sugestion though. If you're going to use a squirt bottle like I did make sure to chop your vegies very fine or you'll have to lop the top of the spout like I did to get it to work.

  4. I have been making this bbq sauce ever snice I found it. We just love it. Well, yesterday we had planed on smoking some baby back ribs. But, here in the panhandle of Texas the wind was blowing again, 50mph....So we did them in the oven. I was looking forward to the smokey flavor, so I added some smoke to the bbq sauce, Wow... so good. Thanks again Tink for posting this. We love it, and will keep using it.

  5. Well I guess I'll be the first to rate and review this one. Excellent!!!! I needed sauce for my pulled pork which called for sweet baby rays but I decided to just make my own. SBR's is over rated in my opinion anyway. I had everything I needed for this recipe already so I decided to go with this. After I let it cook for an hour I tasted it and WOW it made my eyes water and thought I may need to dilute it a bit but after I put it on the pulled pork it was perfect just the way it was. It has plenty of zing thats for sure. My ex-wife stopped by just as I mixed it with the pork and said she could smell it as she was coming up to the house so I told her to try some. She's jealous cause I'm a better cook than she is LOL!!! Thanks for the wonderful recipe
