This was ok but not to our liking. It didn't taste like the sweet and sour we are used to. It was too vinegary for us, too. I followed the recipe except for I used fresh ginger, added a thinly sliced carrot, 1 T Chinese chili sauce and about 2 T of honey to help balance out the vinegar taste. My family asked me not to make it again. Sorry for such a low review. I really wanted to like it. The meat (pork chops) was very tender, though.

Boy, these are good ribs! I had some really thick and meaty spareribs and used this recipe to cook them. Other than using spareribs, rather than country-style ribs, the only other change I made was to use freshly grated ginger, rather than ground ginger. They came out so falling off the bone tender, juicy and delicious. Served them with the suggested rice and a veggie mix that included black beans. It was an excellent meal that I'll be making again. Thanks for posting this Kay, it's a keeper :)
