So nice to visit my childhood memories! My mom used to make this all of the time! She would just used a double boiler frosting instead of the cream cheese one, so I'm going to have to try it with the cream cheese! Thank you for the memories!

  1. Cake:.
  2. Cream margarine and sugar well.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
  4. Sift dry ingredients.
  5. Add to the first mixture alternating with the cup of water.
  6. Add vanilla.
  7. When well mixed, add sauerkraut.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit in desired pan.
  9. Frosting:.
  10. Mix ingredients well.
  11. Spread over cooled cake.
