Mini Herbed Cucumber Canapes

"I found this recipe in a book called "THE BEST OF COUNTRY COOKING" published by "Taste of Home". I needed something quick to whip up for a get together with friends. Quick prep the day before and quick prep the day of the get together. They were a hit; none left to be seen! (prep time does not included 24 hour refrigeration.)"

  • In a food processor or blender, combine first 9 ingredients (this includes all the 1/8 tsp seasonings.) Cover and process until blended.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  • Spread Mayonnaise mixture over bread slices;top with cucumber slices.
  • Garnish with pimientos or red pepper and dill weed.

  1. Great appetizer! I brought this to a baby shower and everyone enjoyed. I used 1/3 less fat cream cheese and garnished with diced red peppers and dill. Fancy appetizer, with little preparation! This recipe is a keeper.

My name is Stephanie Jones, my husband Chris and I are both police officers who unfortunetly work different shifts, which can cause problems when it comes to cooking dinner. I love to cook new things, especially if they are easy and taste great warmed up. My favorite thing is baking desserts, I am usually the dessert person for the family picnics. I have two spoiled brats at home, one is my German Shephard, a mommys girl, and two is my husband. They both love to eat, and thank goodness they aren't picky eaters or I would be in trouble. I want to thank Chef Tara Kirsch for introducing me to Recipzaar, who would have thought 23years ago we would be trading recipes. I still remember when she couldn't even boil water (ha ha).
