Easy Fruit Coffee Cake

Easy and quick to make. I made it with apple pie filling, but it would be great with any pie filling.

This was wonderful. I made a few changes, using 2 cups of home made raspberry sauce instead of pie filling. I mixed the cake mix and eggs first, then stirred in the raspberries. For the topping, my brown sugar was so hard that I put it in a bowl with the butter and melted them together. I then added 1/2 C oatmeal and 1/2 C chopped hazelnuts Perfect! I guess you can't go wrong with this recipe. Make it for breakfast or for dessert, it's delicious.

  • 1 (18 ounce) pkge. yellow cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 (21 ounce) canany pie filling
  • Topping

  • 34 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 14 cup butter, melted

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, eggs and pie filling.
  2. Pour into a greased and floured 9 X 13 inch pan.
  3. Combine the brown sugar, flour, butter, cinnamon and nuts.
  4. Sprinkle over the top of the batter.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
