Delicious!! My family really enjoyed this flavorful cream of mushroom soup. It went together very quickly and with very little effort. I bought presliced mushrooms so the preparation was even quicker. Also, I used unsalted butter and some extra salt and pepper. Next time I think that I will definitely double the recipe. My family loves cream of mushroom soup and this was gone in a hurry. Thanks for sharing this quick, easy, and delicious recipe!

  1. in a large saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. add mushrooms and saute until tender. combine flour and broth until smooth, stir into the mushroom mixture. bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. reduce heat. stir in the cream, salt and pepper. simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes, stirring often.
