I'm not a fan of the plain powdered sugar/milk icing that is normally used on cinnamon rolls so I like to make this recipe!
- 6 ounces light cream cheese
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1⁄4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 -3 tablespoons milk
- Heat cream cheese and butter in a small microwavable bowl for about 30 seconds *Watch closely*. Once softened, stir to combine.
- Add powdered sugar about 1/4 cup at a time. Add vanilla, milk, and last bit of powdered sugar and stir to combine well.
- Add more milk for a thinner consistency and more sugar for a thicker consistency. Spread/pour over hot rolls.
Great Recipe I just sprinkeld a little rum on top to give it a little zip.It is fabulous thank you.
Good recipe....I only used 4 oz cream cheese and still had plenty of icing. I was even able to put some in the fridge to use later. Thanks
Like everyone else reviewing this, I like a different icing for my cinnamon rolls. This one is really wonderful. I just caught my dh grabbing a spoonful out of the bowl! Thanks for posting!
