I made this and as with all 'cold' recipes the wet ingredients can make or break it. I went 'light' on the milk and the result was an un-spreadable ball. Six drops ,,,,,, yeah, drops.... of half & half loosened it a lot. Tasting it screamed "too sweet" so another few drops of cream and another tsp of cocoa powder toned it down a bit. Another tbsp of room temp butter made it creamier to spread and enhanced the flavor a bit. This is one of those recipes that can be 'saved' if you are not happy with the consistency by adding small amounts of wet / dry / bitter / or sweet.... and, oh yeah, butter. Not the best frosting but extremely easy and one everyone can make using ingredients that nearly everyone has on the shelf.

I am a newlywed girl who has found a passion for cooking in the past year. Nobody ever bothered to teach me "how" to cook, so I just taught myself with the help of awesome recipes and lots of experimenting! We have 2 cats and a chihuahua who are quite a handful at times, but lots of fun. I enjoy doing crafts, reading, and watching movies in my spare time. I love trying new restaurants and food when I get a chance. I love to make food for people and get their opinions about it. We have tons of parties in this house, so there are always lots of hungry mouths to feed. For that I feel blessed to have so many family and friends to try my recipes out on!
