  1. Yum! I threw this together this morning for breakfast and was blown away at the ease of preparation and taste and texture of the finished cake. I was very surprised at how high the cake baked up! It was moist and flavorful with just the right amount of crunchy sweetness on top and buried within. Thanks! (I had to sub almonds for walnuts and 1 tsp almond extract instead of 1 tsp of vanilla.)

  2. Very nice...I used this for a catering job and received lots of compliments. I added cinnamon to the batter for an extra cinnamon kick! Thanks MizzNezz... :)

  4. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. I have been searching for the perfect coffee cake for a while. I've tried a lot and this is the best. The batter is wonderful, light, fluffy and beautiful. This is the first recipe for coffee cake that had enough of the struesel topping usually you run out. I just received Penzey's extra fancy vietnamese cassia cinnamon and it is well worth investing and trying especially in a coffee cake recipe. Try this recipe you will not be disapointed.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
