Are these easy? Not especially! Are they AWESOME? YES, and worth the extra steps! They look gorgeous, taste incredible and I use them for special occasions and gifts. If you have some extra time and want something extra special, this is the recipe!

- 2 (10 ounce) jars maraschino cherries, reserve syrup for glaze
- 4 unsweetened chocolate squares
- 3/4 cup butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
Chocolate Fudge Filling
- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 3 unsweetened chocolate squares, melted and cooled
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2Microwave chocolate and butter on high for 2 minutes or until butter is melted.
- 3Stir until completely smooth.
- 4Stir granulated sugar into melted chocolate.
- 5Mix in eggs and vanilla until well combined.
- 6Stir in flour until well blended.
- 7Fill greased or paper lined miniature muffin tins 2/3 full with batter.
- 8Bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick test shows fudgy crumbs; be careful not to overbake.
- 9Cool slightly and remove from pans.
- 10Place brownies on waxed papered tray and while still warm make an indentation into each one with the end of a wood spoon or with fingertip.
- 11Cool completely.
- 12Drain cherries, reserving syrup, on paper towels and press gently to remove any liquid.
- 13Allow to dry.
- 14Chocolate Fudge Filling: Beat cream cheese and vanilla in small bowl until smooth.
- 15Slowly pour in corn syrup and beat until well blended.
- 16Add melted chocolate and beat until smooth.
- 17Gradually add confectioner's sugar, beating until well blended.
- 18Spoon 1 tsp of filling into each brownie indentation.
- 19Gently press a cherry into filling.
- 20Drizzle fancily with glaze.
- 21Glaze: Combine cofectioner's sugar with enough cherry syrup to make a thin glaze.
