This is a great cheese sauce for over veggys. I love it over broccoli or aspargus.
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1⁄2 lb Velveeta cheese
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1⁄2 cup chopped onion
- Cook butter, onion and flour together.
- Add milk, cook until thickened.
- Add cheese and paprika.
- Simmer until cheese melts.
- Serve over steamed vegetables.
AWESOME !! My husband and I really wanted a cheese sauce to use occasionally over veggies, etc, that isn't greasy, lumpy or stringy. This is creamy and delicious and not greasy in the least bit. Tastes great over fries, too !
Just what Velveeta was made for !! This was smooth and creamy, so good !! I used it for broccoli. I can see this used as a nacho sauce, over macaroni, on baked potatoes, veggies, and even over toast, as a Rarebit sauce . This is excellent cheese sauce !
We had this over Asparagus. for Easter Dinner. We agreed this is such a good creamy sauce to use over any veggie. Keeping this one, Thank You for the post.
