This was a great idea, however it was not as superb as I was hoping it would be. On that note, I will probably make it again sometime though for a change of oatmeal pace. I used Trader Joe's Chai Mix and I did not need any honey (I did try it on a spoonful and did not care for the honey-chai-oatmeal taste). I also like my oatmeal very, very thick so I used 1/4 c milk, 1/4 c water, 1/2 portion Chai mix to the 1/2 c oatmeal, but the recipe portions are spot-on typical liquid to oatmeal ratios. Thanks very much for the basic concept - I would also like to experiment with other flavored teas as a way to flavor my oatmeal and I hadn't thought of this idea on my own! Thank you.
