  • Mix all ingredients.
  • Shape into four or five 1/2 inch thick patties.
  • Prepare on stovetop.
  • Cook 4 minutes each side.
  • For microwave cook 2 minutes each side.
  • Occasionally brush with broth, butter or barbecue sauce.

  1. These were delicious! My changes were as follows: Omit poultry seasoning (I forgot it) and swap fish sauce for the woozy (currently out of woozy). Definitely a hit with everyone including the kids! Served these along side some honey glazed roasted carrots for a quick and delicious meal. Thanks!!

  3. Delicious! We ate ours as burgers and loved every bite. I used garlic powder, and Penzey's Chicago seasoned salt. I made them up early in the am and cooked them on the Foreman that evening. I also put the patties in the freezer for about half an hour before cooking. I've found turkey burgers stay together better that way. These were so juicy and flavorful. Thanks for posting.
     
  4. These were really good! I was looking for a way to use up a pound of turkey that I had in my fridge and I'm really glad I decided on this recipe! The only changes I made were to omit the onion and add some black pepper. I got 5 very good size patties out of this which I served with ketchup and hasbrowns. I think that these would be very good as burgers - I will try that next time! Thanks for posting!!
     
  5. Delicious! Very tender and makes for great burgers. I'd be interested in seeing how they fare on the grill. I used a whole onion and omitted the salt. I ended up with 6 patties, and could have easily made more, they seemed on the large side. I will make these again, simple to throw together and very good! Thanks!

Tweaks

  1. MAKESHIFT: I happened to have a couple slices of leftover stale Jewish rye bread, I ground up a large slice in with mortar and pestle. Never tried that before. ADDITIONAL: I also happened to have some leftover cherry tomato (pasta) sauce, used about 2 Tbsp; I like an extra tomato flavor, felt like something less acidic than ketchup. ONION: I didn’t have a fresh onion, substituted a heaping Tbsp of dehydrated minced onion (a pantry staple). GARLIC: Didn’t have garlic salt, and take care of someone who needs a low sodium diet, so I just used granulated garlic plain. SALT & PEPPER: Also used slightly less salt and a bit of fresh ground black pepper. FANCY: I happen to be a lover of Asian food, so I also sprinkled some Sansho on top (or a type of lemony pepper plant, not spicy) — nice with poultry. Cooking time was well advised, glad not to use the oven in the hot weather, patties came out juicy and tender!

  3. This is an amazing recipe. I swapped out bread crumbs for coconut flour (1/2 cup), and Worcestershire with fish sauce. I baked these at 6 mins each side and stored it in the fridge. every morning, I sizzle these up in olive oil and make burgers out of these. Thank you for this recipe!
     
  4. Really juicy! I had a 1.25lb package of ground turkey so upped the other ingred. amts by just a little. I used sweet onion, and a homemade poultry seasoning because I didn't have any store-bought on hand. I also used garlic powder instead of garlic salt and Eggbeaters for the egg. I used a griddle at 350 degrees F, sprayed with non-stick spray and cooked about 7 mins per side. I got 5 good-sized 1/2 inch burgers. The poultry seasoning gave an interesting flavor, different than what I'm used to in turkey burgers. My bf ate 2 burgers and I ate 1. Served this with Recipe #123294 and used the poultry seasoning recipe Recipe #179240. I had ketchup, mustard and relish on mine, bf had relish and hot and spicy mustard on his. Thanks Ang11002, I will probably make these again. :) ETA: Made thse again to try with Recipe #186722 and the burgers and relish went well together.
     
  5. This are wonderful! I make them with onion salt instead of onions, due to family preference, and we all love them. We make them a day ahead and reheat them on the grill when we're at the races, and they are still great! Awesome recipe! We eat these more than hamburgers now!
