This was an awesome recipe!!! My husband does not like beef very much and he said he loved this recipe. It is SO flavorful! I made hot beef sandwiches and saved the rest in the freezer!! Surprised there were any leftovers to save ;) Absolutely love the coffee filter idea. Genious!! It gave me an idea to make a few (packs) ahead of time with my bulk seasoning from Costco! Thanks for a wonderful recipe!!!

I can't believe this hasn't been given a 5 star review yet. This was soooo yummy! I served this on homemade rolls and reduced the broth for dipping, and everyone raved. I didn't have any bay leaves (thought I did), so I left them out, but I loved the rosemary aroma - not too strong, but definitely present. And I loved the coffee filter idea. My parents came over to babysit, and it's a good thing I hid away a pound of the cooked meat for the freezer, otherwise my Dad would have finished it off! Now I am dreaming of machaca or shredded beef burritos . . . Great recipe, thanks a bunch. I will definitely be making this often!
