Lazy Cabbage Roll Casserole

"This is a great recipe I came across in an old Homecoming cookbook. My son loved it and he's not a big fan of cabbage. The only changes I made to this recipe: adding more rice; I mixed all the ingredients together rather than layer; and I blanched the cabbage for a few minutes before adding it to the mixture."

directions

  • brown ground beef.
  • add onions, salt, pepper, garlic powder, salt and Worcestershire sauce, cook until golden. drain excess fat.
  • add soup, water and rice, mix well.
  • add cabbage
  • if layered - put cabbage at bottom of casserole dish. pour meat mixture over cabbage.
  • Top with cheese.
  • Cover and bake at 325 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours.
