  • Brown ground beef and drain.
  • Add cream of mushroom soup, salt, pepper, and milk and heat through.
  • Serve over rice.
  • Although I find as long as I salt and pepper it well enough, it has plenty of flavor for my taste, if you feel it isn't flavorful enough, many reviewers have made some excellent suggestions to kick it up. :).

    Haven't had this for decades. Needed something simple and tasty and this hit the spot.

    2lb of ground beef, 1 minced sweet onion, 3 tsp. of McCormick Hamburger Seasoning. When fully cooked I put the beef mixture in a large bowl and added milk, 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, salt, pepper, 1 tsp parsley flakes, 4-6 cups mozzerella cheese, 1.5-3 cups parmeasan cheese. Additions to the 4 cups of cooked rice were adding 6 tsp. of minced garlic after being boiled. I cut out 4 bell peppers and disposed of seeds and membrane. Mixed cooked rice and beef mixture in a large bowl. Placed stuffing in bell peppers. Preheated oven to 350F and placed my stuffed peppers in bowl. Placed the rest of the mixture around the bell peppers until dish is half full. Covered dish for 30 min. with aluminum foil and uncovered dish for another 30 min. or until peppers were cooked.

    When i was a kid we called it Gravy Train. When i made it for my three boys they called it dog food {you know like Gravy Train dog food} Boys like to tell their friends they had dog food for dinner:) you can make it simple with mushroom or chicken soup or fancy it up with onions and garlic and mushrooms etc. I actually consider it a version of SOS ( look it up)

    I've been making this since I was 10 it not that big of a deal but it is good and filling .. We use to call it good still do ...... By the way your sight sucks ....

    I make it as said. I add garlic salt and pepper. And minced garlic. After I mix the soup and milk into the meat I add Worcestershire sauce So creamy and yummy. We serve this over rice.
