ingredients
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 dash salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons butter
directions
- Cook and stir the first 5 ingredients until thickened.
- Remove from heat.
- Add butter and vanilla.
- Serve over ice cream or fudge cake.

Ok, I was prepared not to like it. I couldn't imagine a fudge sauce without nice rich chocolate pieces and cream. If you are trying to watch what you eat and make healthier choices this stuff is GREAT! I made low fat brownies and topped them with a scoop of low fat ice cream and fudge sauce. Everybody loved them! I'm planning on doing a fondue this weekend with fruit, marshmallows and angel food cake chunks. This recipe is a keeper! And so easy too!
