Elaine's Rice Pilaf

Elaine's Rice Pilaf created by diner524

This is a simple pilaf recipe but so much better than the boxed pilaf. I serve this with my Onion Sauce Chicken and always my guests rave about how good it is.

Made this to go along with your Recipe #236627 and it was a hit at our house. I used Jasmine long grain rice and followed the recipe as written except for adding a bit of diced onion to the butter and vermicelli in the beginning. Thanks for posting JCC. Made for Fall PAC 08.

WoW! this rice pilaf was outstanding! I used Jasmine long grain rice and I replaced the store brought can of chicken broth with using 1 cup of fresh chicken broth with 1 cup boiling water and adding 2 chicken bouillon cubes. We enjoyed this rice pilaf with recipe#236627 and both recipes will be put into my family's favorite Zaar recipes cookbook. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe! It was YUMMY!! :)
