DIRECTIONS

  • Line a deep square or round tin with baking paper.
  • Bring paper 5 cm above edge of tin.
  • Pre heat oven to 150 C.
  • Place fruit and water in pot, bring to boil.
  • Simmer oncovered for 2 minutes.
  • Cover and cool to room temperature.
  • Stir in condensed milk then flour and rum if using.
  • Add lightly beaten egg and stir thoroughly.
  • Spoon into prepared tin.
  • Bake for 2 hours or till cooked when tested.
