This was a great recipe! It made well into bars in a jelly roll pan too! (recipe doubled and time shortened to 20-25 minutes) I didn't have any applesauce so I just added another apple with some brown sugar and made sure I mashed it a bit and left some chunky when I cooked down the apples. I also added a little clove and doubled the cinnamon too. It's a keeper! UPDATE: Noted next day the leftover bars were pretty sticky due to the sugar content I'm sure, but I had stored them in a tupperware and maybe it's a moisture control problem. I plan on making them on a eat-the-same-day basis. Too good to waste!

Love that there is applesauce in this recipe, make for a really moist bread. And you're absolutely right about tweaking the ingredients, very easy to modify without risk! Had to take my cooking time down to about 50 minutes, but I think it's due to the non stick loaf pan...the outside tends to cook faster with the coating. Will be making this one again ofr sure! Fast, easy and verry yummy :)
