  • Prehead oven to 425 degrees F & spray a 15"x10" glass baking dish inside with cooking spray.
  • In a shallow dish, combine the egg substitute, milk, OJ, vanilla & nutmeg, mixing well.
  • Add bread & soak for 5 minutes, turning once.
  • Coat both sides of each slice with cornflake crumbs, then place slices in the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, then turn & bake another 5-8 minutes longer or until golden brown.

  1. Loved this great french toast! Easy to prepare and loved the crunch from the cornflakes; I think it would be great with crushed honey-nut cheerios or cinnamon toast crunch too. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
     
  2. Sooo good!! I made this with Italian sandwich bread and it turned out great! There was enough egg mixture to cover 5 slices which was plenty for DH, DS and I since we also had eggs and bacon. Will make this again, it was so easy and I liked that you don't have to let the bread sit overnight. Made for 123Hits.

  5. This made for a fairly guilt free brekky, other than the fact that I topped with golden syrup...:lol: This was easy to make and I loved the corn-flake crunch coating, alovely spin on Fench toast. Thanks Syd!
