Beef With Oyster Sauce

"A pretty quick and easy recipe. Just a tip, if you par-freeze the beef first it makes it easier to slice. Enjoy"

Questions & Replies

  1. No vegetables in ingredients?

  2. There are 50,000 different kinds of chilis, most of which turn red when ripe. So I have no idea what kind of chili you mean when you say, "red chili". I'm further puzzled when, later in the recipe, you call for a "red capsicum". All chilis are capsicums. Which one do you mean?

  1. Excellent recipe. Defininately stir-fry meat only until browned and then remove. Next do the veg, and then add the meat near the end again. Omitting this will result in overly cooked , tough, beef.

  2. Hubby and Little Miss (DD) really enjoyed this dish. I didn't eat any because I don't eat red meat, however I can comment how quick it's to cook this recipe. I used a meat hammer to make the beef slices even thinner. I also reduced the chilli so Little Miss could also eat it. I also added green capsicums to add more colour to the dish. Thanks so much for your wonderful recipe Terese

  3. Good tasting recipe! I have added a bit of water to the sauce because it tends to get sticky and I've also lessened the chili as I'm not very fond of spicy food. But I love this version of beef with oyster sauce. The second time I cooked it, I added mushroom, next tme I'll try it with brocolli.

  4. Wonderful taste and easy to make! I didn't use peanut oil just some vegetable oil. I cooked it first with beef then a second time with chicken and it tasted delicious. Thanks for the great recipe!

  5. Delicious! Easy to make and so good! You don't have to use a wok, a skillet will do in a pinch. Oddly enough, for me, I didn't change a thing, did it just the way Terese said to do it, and it was great. Give it a try.
