  • 1 box uncle ben's long grain and wild rice blend
  • 1 cup white rice (Brown Rice Works Well Also)
  • 1 lb sausage (Pork or Turkey, Mild or Hot)
  • 12 cup onion (diced)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 12 cup sliced mushrooms (canned or fresh, it doesn't matter-if using fresh, saute with the onions from the beginning)
  • salt and pepper (To Taste)

  • Prepare wild rice as directed on box (it will take 35-40 to cook).
  • While wild rice is cooking, saute onions in olive oil until almost tender
  • Add sausage and mushrooms to onions, browning sausage.
  • Cook white rice as directed on box.
  • When both rice mixtures are fully cooked, mix all ingredients together.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
