  • Rub with butter or spray rice cooker pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Add water or stock, rice, and salt to taste.
  • Cover and cook about 40- 50 minutes, or until rice is fluffy.
  • Let stand 10 minutes more before serving.

    I am new to rice cookers. My husband finally convinced me to get one when we found one for $10 (it has only "cook" and "warm" modes). I was dubious about attempting to cook anything other than white rice in it. I kept running into the kitchen so I could set it back to "cook" after it switched to warm. I had no idea how smart that little guy is! It cooked it perfectly without the need for my constant worry and babysitting! It's like magic! :D I used a regular measuring cup
