Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls

A easy recipe if you want stuffed cabbage taste without all the work.


  1. Brown beef and onion; drain.
  2. Add cabbage, tomatoes, brown sugar and vinegar; stir.
  3. Simmer for 30 minutes.

Sorry but we did not care for this. It was way too sweet and I even cut the brown sugar in half. I followed the recipe as written but wasn't sure what type of vinegar to use (I have never made cabbage rolls so wasn't sure what you "normally" use). I even added a cup of cooked brown rice, salt, pepper, garlic powder, worcestshire sauce and topped with cheese but my family still did not like it. I'm sure it's just a personal taste and there is nothing wrong with this recipe- just not for us.

This was very good. I served it over rice, and added Worchestershire sauce and garlic salt. I'd recommend serving it with rice--the rice absorbed all of the tasty juice and was very yummy! Thanks for the recipe!

Wow! This was tasty. My 3 year old fell in love with it (surprisingly)! I used 2 cans of tomato soup b/c that's what I had and I liked the sweetness it gave. This was a fast, satisfying meal that I will make again soon. Thanks!
