THE Easiest Pizza Crust

"Why buy a premade pizza crust (with ingredients you can't pronounce) when you probably have all the ingredients to make your own less than 30 min.? This is the easiest way I've found to make pizza crust that comes out crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. While this crust is definitely not gluten-free, I did adapt it from "Gluten Free Pizza Crust" (recipe #44487)."

directions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • In medium bowl using regular beaters (not dough hooks), blend all ingredients on low speed.
  • Beat on high speed for 3 minutes.
  • (If mixer bounces around bowl, dough is too stiff. Add water if necessary, one tablespoon at a time, until dough does not resist beaters. If dough is too wet, add more flour.) Dough will resemble soft bread dough.
  • Put mixture on a floured 12-inch pizza pan or cookie sheet.
  • Sprinkle flour on dough, then press dough onto pan, continuing to sprinkle with flour to prevent sticking to hands.
  • Make edges slightly thicker to hold toppings.
  • Bake pizza crust for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, then reduce heat to 400 degrees F.
  • Spread pizza crust with your favorite sauce and toppings, and lightly scrape the bottom if it's stuck to the pan in places.
  • Bake another 10 to 15 minutes or until top is nicely browned.
