  1. Isi am a snowbird and went looking for a sweet and sour meat loaf recipe because that's what I've made for he past 45 years and my family loves it. There is just a little difference from this recipe. I use just brown sugar and no vinegar. I think the tomato sauce has enough acid in it.it's a great recipe with or without this change.

  2. My family absolutely loves this recipe. I always double the sauce so they can have some to pour over the meatloaf on their plates. I also mix about 1/2 cup of the sauce with the beef/bread crumb mixture, which makes it very moist. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!

  3. I absolutely LOVE this recipe! Everyone, from my grandparents to my picky brother, loved the meatloaf. My mom has even asked me to make it for different people and to take it to potlucks. Definitely a hit!

  4. Made this tonight to use up 1 1/2 lbs of meat I had defrosted. I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I did sub fresh onions for the instant minced onion. Only problem I had was that there was a ton of "grease" in mine- guess it was the beef I used. Ended up draining it before adding the sauce, and there was still a bunch of grease on the bottom when I served it. Still tasted good though. Will have to have this again. Thanks for sharing!

  5. This is the meatloaf I have been making for years. I do add a little garlic to it, but itherwise it is perfect! My DD thinks this meatloaf is the bomb, although my Dad prefers something more plain and without sauce. But the rest of the family says 5 stars all the way!
