These are very good, and they are different than my normal sugar cookie. Because of the butter they have more of a chewy texture instead of a biscuit texture. The sour cream adds just the right amount of flavor too. Thanks for posting!! This recipe came in handy when I didn't have any Crisco on hand and my son wanted sugar cookies for his birthday.

Hey everyone!
I'm a sophomore in high school, baking is my absolute passion. I can't get enough of it. Christmas is my favorite holiday because I get to make food for everyone. I guess I get that from my mom. She died when I was 10 of cervical cancer.
I am a vegetarian. I am fairly well traveled for my age, having been to every state in America. Texas has the best Mexican food I have ever tasted and I think California cheese is better than Wisconsin cheese. Alaska has the best fish but Maine doesn't have the best lobster (I tried those before I became vegetarian).
I have worked at a bakery (not family owned) for 3 1/2 years and I love it.
I am particularly fond of this website. It allows me to be the chef I am rather than the academically correct girl everyone expects be to be.
I hope you enjoy my recipes!
