Special Spinach Dip
"It's spinach dip with a twist, but you have to like seafood. This recipe is a double batch but it's the only way I make it because it never lasts otherwise. I always make it the day before and serve in a hollowed out round sourdough bread bowl."

- 473.18 ml mayonnaise or 473.18 ml Miracle Whip
- 53.15 g package vegetable soup mix (Knorr preferred)
- 53.15 g package French onion soup mix
- 828.06 ml sour cream
- 59.14 ml cream cheese, softened
- 2 (566.99 g) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained of most liquid
- 1 shrimp, ring 40-60 count, tails removed
- 2 (340.19 g) can crabmeat
- 170.09 g can lobster meat (optional)
- 118.29 ml minced red onion (optional)
directions
- Blend all ingredients together.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight, if desired.
- Serve in sourdough bread bowl -- serve with crackers and baguette slices.
- Enjoy!

<p>I post what I cook. It's an eclectic, and hopefully simple collection of recipes. I'd love to post most of what I cook, but frankly I'm not good at the measurements and I tend to be a 'add a dash of this and that' kinda cook. As a result, I can be a little lazy in posting recipes. I strive to make large meals that don't cost a lot, I've got 4 kids. Yes they eat what I post :) My main goal these days is to get the most out of what we pay for groceries...with 5 large eaters me, we're on a 'below low income level' budget, it's important to buy cheap and cook around the ingredients.
