Shredded Barbecued Beef

"My husband comes from the South and since moving out West, he has missed good b-b-q. He was very excited about these sandwiches once he tasted them. It was completely gone by the next day. I thought it would be too much vinegar but once it was done cooking, it was so good."

  1. I thought this was delicious! I did use a rump roast instead of the chuck, but only because the rump was already in my freezer. Otherwise I followed it to a T. I was worried that it would be too runny, but it cooked up very nicely and my daughter (12), who is miss picky gave it the thumbs up! Thanks for a keeper! :)

  2. This was OK. The flavor was a bit "off" to me; it didn't have quite the bbq "kick" that I like. I think maybe it was the liquid smoke flavor that I didn't care for. Maybe I'll try it again and cut that down a bit. Thanks for sharing!

I have so many different hobbies, my DH is driven nuts by it. He can't keep up with what my current hobby is at any given point. My hobbies are bicycling, hiking, cooking, writing, reading, crocheting, cross stitching, drawing, scrapbooking, collecting recipes, photography, quilting, learning about how people lived during the 19th century and trying to incorporate the things that I can into my life, and eating chocolate (though I'm trying not to do that as much anymore)! I love animals and help people with thir livestock just so I can be near them. We have three dogs, our little babies, and 7 finches. Within the next 2-3 years, we hope to start our own ranch. One of my dreams is to have a homestead with a 3-4 room log cabin and live as they did back in the 19th century. Though I know that a small one room cabin on the back side of our land for very short excursions will have to do (since my DH would die in such a primitive setting for much longer than a day or two).
