Yummy comfort food. One of our favorites.
- 3 1⁄2-4 lbs beef roast
- 1 -2 tablespoon beef bouillon granules
- 1 (2 ounce) packet Lipton Beef and Onion Soup mix
- 1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
- 1 tablespoon flour
- Place beef in shallow roasting pan. Sprinkle granules and soup mix over roast. Pour beef broth over all. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for about 1 hours or until beef is fork tender. Remove beef. Mix 1 tablespoons drippings and flour in roasting pan. Cook and stir until mixture boils and thickens. Slice beef and serve with gravy.
I made this last night and it was delicious. It made such a nice gravy. My roast was 6 lbs. so my roast had to cook for 2 hours. But followed the recipe exactly, and had lots of leftover meat and gravy. I will be making this often, thanks looneytunesfan!
This was a delicious roast although I did have to cook it a bit longer than the recipe called for. It was easy to prepare and will definitely be made again. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
