- 8 cucumbers
- 4 -6 onions
- 2 tablespoons pickling salt
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups vinegar
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 1⁄2 teaspoon celery seed
directions
- Slice onions.
- Peel and slice cucumbers.
- Sprinkle with salt and let stand overnight.
- Drain.
- Place in a pot and cover with a little water.
- Bring to a boil and drain.
- Mix flour with some vinegar to make a paste. Add rest of ingredients.
- Combine with cucumbers and onions.
- Bring to a boil.
- Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.
